The purpose of this initiative is to address several pressing issues within the community:


1. Limited Youth Activities and Social Spaces or recreational centers: We aim to create more opportunities for young individuals to engage in positive activities and provide safe and enriching spaces for them to socialize, learn, and grow together.


2. Affordable Food for Families: Many families in the area face financial constraints, making it challenging to afford nutritious meals regularly. Our goal is to establish programs that offer affordable and accessible food options for these families, ensuring they don't have to worry about their basic needs.


3. Youth and Family Transportation: Transportation can be a significant barrier for youth and families to access essential services, education, and employment opportunities. By providing transportation options, we can help bridge this gap and ensure everyone has equal access to necessary resources.

About REACH KERNVILLE

Our Mission

At REACH KERNVILLE, our mission is to provide assistance to those in need. We believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities and we work tirelessly to make this a reality.

The story

Once upon a time in the small town of Kernville, nestled in the picturesque Lake Isabella area, the community faced challenges that deeply concerned its residents. There were limited activities and opportunities for the youth to thrive, leaving them feeling disconnected and disheartened. Families struggled to afford basic necessities, and the lack of accessible entertainment further intensified the feelings of isolation.


Amidst these hardships, a group of compassionate and driven individuals came together to form REACH, a program with a vision to create lasting support and empowerment for the community, especially the youth. Recognizing the power of fun activities and entertainment, they set out on a mission to make a difference.


REACH kicked off its efforts by organizing engaging and entertaining events that brought the entire community together. They hosted outdoor movie nights under the starry skies, where families laughed, shared snacks, and bonded like never before. The youth were thrilled to have their own space where they could freely express themselves and make new friends during game nights and talent shows.


However, REACH didn't stop at just providing entertainment. They understood that sustainable change required addressing the root issues. To ensure a brighter future for the community, they established life and job skills programs for both the youth and adults. Local experts and volunteers came forward to mentor and guide the young minds, equipping them with valuable skills that would enhance their personal and professional lives.


With growing support from the community, REACH extended its outreach efforts. They partnered with local businesses and organizations, securing affordable food options for families, eliminating one more barrier for those struggling to make ends meet.
